Shape Shifter by Lazy Bee Gardens

PACKAGING
Lazy Bee Gardens packaging is great. The design is methodical and cute, and the package contains tons of information. The amount of information about the strain is great, Shape Shifter is a cross between Old Man’s Purple, Malawi, Northern Lights Haze, and Memory Loss. I didn’t know that now I do, and I have tons of points of reference! And the cannabinoid info is thorough as well, includes percentages for CBG and CBC, the latter being 0%, but it’s nice that it’s included. There’s an attractive easy to read terpene graph too. This is extra helpful because it’s hard to glean good info from lists of terpene percentages, so the color-coded graph helps you see which terpenes are most prominent.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The most noticeable thing about this flower is the aroma! It is so loud. The fragrance is pungent and spicy and sweet all at once. The flower is also nice to look at, dark green, sticky with crystals, and covered with dark orange hairs. The texture of this flower is excellent. Dense but not so dense it’s difficult to break up and smoke. Care was clearly taken in curing this flower to perfection.
EXPERIENCE
A dry pipe was used to sample this flower, which probably didn’t do it justice in terms of flavor. But you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes. The flavor was still wonderful, however. The most prominent terpene in this flower is myrcene, which is found in basil, and I would say that this flower did have some basil-like flavor. Sweet and savory all at once. The high was super mellow. While it wasn’t couch-lock inducing, it was more on the nighttime use end of the cannabis spectrum. I was still functional but chilled out. Maybe I’m imagining it, but I swear sun-grown outdoor cannabis has a different high. A little happier and groggier at the same time. It reminds me of when I first started smoking weed. The grogginess is super short-lived and I like it.
OVERALL
It’s Lazy Bee Gardens– you can’t go wrong. The product packaging always gives you all the information you could want. You know what you’re getting. It smells nice, looks nice, and gives you a nice high. It’s truly some of Washington state’s best outdoor flower.
